Business Intelligence with i-Con Analytics
In order to achieve this you need your business to have every competitive advantage possible. The key to giving your business a competitive advantage is
information and not just any information but intelligent information; the kind of information that will enable you to make informed, sound business
Enter the i-Con Analytics Enterprise tool. i-Con Analytics turns your organisations’ raw data into actionable information for business intelligence.
When you integrate systems and applications using the i-Con Integration Platform, every single transaction performed by or in conjunction with any of the organisations’ i-Con interfaces is stored in the i-Con database. This makes the i-Con database an invaluable information resource to mine in order to find out exactly what is going on within your business, as well as how it is interacting with customers and clients without the need to access multiple sources.
However, having near real-time access to the vast quantities of historical and current information stored in the database is not enough, and this is where the i-Con Analytics Enterprise tool really demonstrates its power. Because the data is stored in the i-Con database, it has common formats; keys; data models and access methods which means that the tool can be easily configured to provide your business users with custom tables and fields, bespoke dashboards and reports that turn raw data into actionable information.
It provides your more technical users with the ability to configure master tables. This enables you to extract and analyse the data flowing through your ESB and enables you to make informed business decisions. As the i-Con Analytics Enterprise tool creates a data warehouse that is separate from your operational systems, users can run reports of any size without affecting or degrading operational system performance.
Information provided by i-Con Analytics shows you your business’s strengths and weaknesses in an easy-to-understand and action format. This enables you
to invest appropriately in infrastructure and staff, and to:
- optimise internal business processes;
- increase operational efficiency;
- improve access to decision making information;
- derive and develop new revenue streams; and
- gain a competitive advantage over business rivals.
If you are looking to improve on your business, generate more revenue and save money, then implement the tried and tested i-Con Analytics Enterprise tool and turn your company’s transaction and historical data into a library of actionable information.
The i-Con Support Analytics tool is an online system that has been designed with simplicity in mind.
This has been done to reduce the turn-around time in resolving production incidents and general troubleshooting and the number of calls made to second-line support. Support staff are able to search for logs or system failures simply by applying filters. This increases efficiency and reduces costs.
i-Con Support Analytics allows support staff to have i-Con transactional data at their fingertips as and when they need it. The tool is a web based system that has been designed to be used effectively by users with little to no training.
Because Support Analytics allows access to sensitive transactional data we have embedded strong security features. An Active Directory (AD) group can be set up to allow only users within the AD group to access the Support Analytics data.
Support staff do not need to have any query writing or programming knowledge, and they have access to transactional data in real time. This means that they can help resolve incidents far quicker than with the use of other analytics tools.
The i-Con Support Analytics tool is a must have for organisations supporting their own solutions.
- Reduce troubleshooting turn-around times
- Reduce calls to second-line support
- Reduce training costs and time for support personnel
- Web based
- Simple user interface
- Almost real-time access to transactional data
- No programming or query knowledge required
How it Works
The interface allows you to select the environment you want to query and the projects and components associated with the selected i-Con interface. The user can then select the date and time range (up to the millisecond) and provide a keyword to refine results. A filter can be used to either include or exclude all results containing the users chosen keyword. The user can also view the flow of the selected i-Con interface.
i-Con Support Analytics is a must have tool for your organisation. If you are in a fast-paced environment with vast quantities of data to query and you need your staff to have everything at their fingertips, you cannot afford to be without i-Con Support Analytics.
i-Con Test Harness
The i-Con Test Harness was created to provide a better and more efficient service to our customers and help them decrease their time to market.
As the broker of our customers’ integration solutions we have control over where systems send messages, as well as the content of those messages. This
enabled us to develop a product that could be used to shorten project test cycles. When we apply the i-Con Test Harness during the Development (Dev)
and End-To-End (ETE) environments, we can increase efficiency and significantly reduce the test cycles in a System Integration Testing (SIT) environment.
The i-Con Test Harness is used to significantly shorten integration testing cycles normally encountered when Provider systems are not available during the DEV and ETE stages of a project. It has become an essential tool when it comes to testing and evaluating new systems and applications prior to going live. This ensures a reduced project cycle.
The Test Harness is automated, easily configurable and the ideal solution to stand in for software units within the software stack during the testing stages of a new or existing project.
While you can configure the harness in whatever way best suits your project, there are essentially two configurations that you would choose as your starting point, Stub and Deliver. These configurations enable you to move the harness up and down the software stack, depending on which function you need it to cater for.
The Stub configuration can assist with providing quick solutions to:
- configure request/response pairs to expose RESTful endpoints within seconds;
- provide test data for front-end applications by setting up Microsoft Messaging Queues;
- serving test data via TCP/IP to front-end applications; and
- stand in for i-Con Web Services logical development via Microsoft Messaging Queue request/response pairs.
The Deliver configuration can assist with providing quick solutions to:
- test RESTful/SOAP services by mocking the front-end application;
- performance test back-end services via RESTful/SOAP services; and
- automate preconfigured unit tests to validate system readiness.
