Support Analytics

The i-Con Support Analytics tool is an online system that has been designed with simplicity in mind.

This has been done to reduce the turn-around time in resolving production incidents and general troubleshooting and the number of calls made to second-line support. Support staff are able to search for logs or system failures simply by applying filters. This increases efficiency and reduces costs.

i-Con Support Analytics allows support staff to have i-Con transactional data at their fingertips as and when they need it. The tool is a web based system that has been designed to be used effectively by users with little to no training.

Because Support Analytics allows access to sensitive transactional data we have embedded strong security features. An Active Directory (AD) group can be set up to allow only users within the AD group to access the Support Analytics data.

Support staff do not need to have any query writing or programming knowledge, and they have access to transactional data in real time. This means that they can help resolve incidents far quicker than with the use of other analytics tools.

How it Works

The Interface

The interface allows you to select the environment you want to query and the projects and components associated with the selected i-Con interface. The user can then select the date and time range (up to the millisecond) and provide a keyword to refine results. A filter can be used to either include or exclude all results containing the users chosen keyword. The user can also view the flow of the selected i-Con interface.

i-Con Test Harness

The i-Con Test Harness was created to provide a better and more efficient service to our customers and help them decrease their time to market.

As the broker of our customers’ integration solutions we have control over where systems send messages, as well as the content of those messages. This enabled us to develop a product that could be used to shorten project test cycles. When we apply the i-Con Test Harness during the Development (Dev) and End-To-End (ETE) environments, we can increase efficiency and significantly reduce the test cycles in a System Integration Testing (SIT) environment.

The i-Con Test Harness is used to significantly shorten integration testing cycles normally encountered when Provider systems are not available during the DEV and ETE stages of a project. It has become an essential tool when it comes to testing and evaluating new systems and applications prior to going live. This ensures a reduced project cycle.

The Test Harness is automated, easily configurable and the ideal solution to stand in for software units within the software stack during the testing stages of a new or existing project.

While you can configure the harness in whatever way best suits your project, there are essentially two configurations that you would choose as your starting point, Stub and Deliver. These configurations enable you to move the harness up and down the software stack, depending on which function you need it to cater for.


The Stub configuration can assist with providing quick solutions to:

  • configure request/response pairs to expose RESTful endpoints within seconds;
  • provide test data for front-end applications by setting up Microsoft Messaging Queues;
  • serving test data via TCP/IP to front-end applications; and
  • stand in for i-Con Web Services logical development via Microsoft Messaging Queue request/response pairs.


The Deliver configuration can assist with providing quick solutions to:

  • test RESTful/SOAP services by mocking the front-end application;
  • performance test back-end services via RESTful/SOAP services; and
  • automate preconfigured unit tests to validate system readiness.
